Within the BTCC Wiki, we use a number of symbols in articles to help both improve the look of tables and make them easier to read. This page contains an explanation of each of those symbols, as well as their associated templates.

Race Templates

Should you be editing, or reading, about a BTCC driver's racing career, then the table below contains the symbols you may be needing to complete it. These are used, primarily, to keep the Table Width from exceeding 700 pixels (though this, of course, is sometimes unavoidable) and are explained below.

Race Templates
Symbol  {{Template}} Name Explanation
N {{DNE}} Did Not Enter If a driver failed to attend an event in a season in which they had (or would later) compete in, then the result for that race may be shown with this template.
bgcolor="white" style="color:black; font-size:90%; border-radius:5px;"|DNS {{DNS}} Did Not Start Should a driver have entered a race and qualified, but failed to start, then this template should be used.
bgcolor="black" style="color:white; font-size:90%; border-radius:5px;"|DSQ {{DNS}} Disqualified If a driver is disqualified from a race, then this template is to be used
bgcolor="Purple" style="color:white; border-radius:7px;"|NC {{NC}} Not Classified When a driver finishes a race, but has neither retired or completed the full race distance (ie not been given a finishing position) then this template may be used.
R {{R}} Retired This template is to show that a driver retired from the listed race.
WD {{WD}} Withdrew If a driver withdrew from a race meeting, then this template is appropriate

Class Templates

Essential for both driver and season pages, Class Templates are used to convey which class a driver competed in, in a given season. As the BTCC has used different class structures and regulations at different times, each Class will have to be explained (in individual season articles).

Flagicons

The BTCC Wiki also uses Flagicons, a system of templates which allows a specific flag to be displayed to show a driver's (or car or team) country of origin. This list will be added to when a flag is required.
