Richard Chirs Kerrison (better known as Chris Kerrison) was a British Saloon Car Championship driver and class winner, having won the Class C championship in 1961.[1][2] Kerrison only race in the BSCC for one season, using a Jaguar Mk II.[2]

Background[]

Kerrison's racing background was largely based in Sports Cars, having raced in various championships from 1959.[1] Kerrison raced in the 1959 British Grand Prix, although retired his privately entered Lotus Climax, with other highlights including numerous Formula Two races.[1]

BTCC History[]

Kerrison's first race came at the St. Mary's Trophy meeting at Goodwood in 1961, where a late failure meant he could not start.[2] Kerrison then competed in Class D, although with his smaller engine than the leading cars, Kerrison was not classified.[2] Kerrison missed the following race, his car was then classified in Class C, where he was able to take two wins, giving him sixteen points and the Class C title.[2]
