The Ford Galaxie was a full-sized family sedan produced by Ford in America. While it began production in the 1950s, it was the 2nd generation Galaxie that competed in the BTCC. This large two-door was a special version built by Ford and prepared for racing by Holman-Moody, who installed disc brakes and other racing gear. The Galaxie had options of a 4.7 liter, 6.4 liter, and 7 liter engine, with the 427 ci being the most popular engine for NASCAR & drag racing in the US.
