Jack Goff is a BTCC driver, currently competing in the 2014 season for RCIB Insurance Racing. Goff made his BTCC debut in 2013, having come through the ranks in the Renault Clio Cup.[1]
Current Season[]
Goff is currently competing for RCIB Insurance Racing, one of the teams run by Team BMR Racing.[2] An eighth place at Brands Hatch Indy on the opening day of the season is Goff's best finish so far.[1]
Background[]
Goff began his career like most drivers in karting, before entering the MG Trophy in 2009, finishiing on the podium in every race he finished.[1] From this, Goff entered the Renault Clio Cup, a supporting championship to the BTCC, in 2010, joining Team Pyro.[3] For the next three years, Goff competed in the Clio Cup, clinching the title in 2012.[3]
BTCC History[]
RCIB Insurance Racing offered Goff a drive with them in 2013, making his debut in the Vauxhall Insignia at Brands Hatch at the start of the year.[3] Although finishes in the top ten increased through the year, Goff stunned the paddock when he took second in the final race of the year, having battled Gordon Shedden for the win for most of the race.[1]
Team BMR Racing (who run RCIB Insurance Racing) decided to retain Goff, running him alongside their CHROME Edition Restart Racing cars.[1]
