Nick Foster is a BTCC driver, currently competing in the 2014 season. Foster took an unusual route to the BTCC, competing in the British GT championship rather than the conventional route of single seaters.[2]

Current SeasonEdit

Foster is currently competing in one of three BMW 125is run by eBay Motors.[2] A fifth place in race two was the best result for Foster in the first round of the season at Brands Hatch.[1] He briefly led race three at the Kent circuit, however contact saw him slip to nineteenth.[1]

Foster's motorsport career began in rallying, before a change of heart saw him begin circuit racing in the 2006 Radical championship.[1] 2007 and 2008 saw him enter the British GT championship, with a best finish of second the result.[2] A break from motorsport saw him focus on his business, before a season in the GT Cup put him on the radar of West Surrey Racing for 2011.[2]

BTCC HistoryEdit

2010 was meant to be Foster's debut, set to appear in the final meeting at Brands Hatch. An unspecified issue saw him withdraw, meaning that he would make his BTCC debut at the start of 2011.[1] For his first season, Foster was equipped with a BMW 320si, and achieved his best finish of second in race fifteen at Croft.[2] Another season with WSR, now renamed eBay Motors saw Foster again given a 320si to compete with, although he could not better his second place the previous year.

The NGTC eraEdit

WSR began competing a new car in 2013, a BMW 125i in order to comply fully with the new NGTC regulations.[2] This meant that 2013 effectively became a development year for Foster, although his team mate Colin Turkington was able to prove the true pace that the 125i could produce. WSR retained Foster (and his team mates Turkington and Rob Collard) for 2014.[1]
