Ollie Jackson is a driver in the BTCC, driving a Proton Persona for STP Racing with Sopp & Sopp in 2014.[1] Jackson's first drive in the BTCC was for Triple Eight Race Engineering, driving a Super 2000 Vauxhall Vectra.[1]
Current Season[]
Jackson made his debut for STP Racing with Sopp & Sopp at Brands Hatch Indy, taking 22nd in race three.[2] It is his first season using an NGTC Proton Persona, a new car to the series.[2]
Background[]
Jackson's racing career began at the Caterham Academy, competing in Caterhams for the next four years.[3] From this, Jackson started in the Porsche Carrera Cup, ultimately claiming sixth in his final season in the series.[3] A season in the British GT championship followed, driving a Lotus Evora (in part of its development for endurance competition the following season) until he was offered a chance to drive in the BTCC.[3]
BTCC History[]

Triple Eight, looking for a driver for the final two rounds of 2011, offered Jackson a drive in one of their Vauxhall Vectras.[3] After two finishes just outside the points, Jackson was given a drive with AmD Tuning.com, running a Volkswagen Golf for 2012.[3] Jackson scored his first BTCC points in the opening round at Brands Hatch Indy, although he would ultimately finish in eighteenth in the final standings.[3]
NGTC Racer[]
In 2013, Jackson joined Speedworks Motorsport, who were running Toyota Avensis.[3] Although there was a new points scoring system, Jackson could not improve on his eighteenth place the previous season.[3] In 2014, STP Racing with Sopp & Sopp, running Proton Personas for the first time, took on Jackson.[3]
